Malibu students Corey Powley, Bryce Taylor and Hanna Staples have once again represented
Malibu and did us proud performing alongside their peers with Schools Alive Choir at the annual
WAGSMS held at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Friday 9th August.
WAGSMS (Western Australia Government Schools Music Society) are held
annually in which school choirs perform alongside each other to a sell out
audience of over 500 friends and families and receive a trophy for participating.
With the bright lights and a full house to contest with it was fantastic to see the
guys take it in their stride and sing their hearts out in a medley of songs that they
have been rehearsing every Wednesday with their Schools Alive Choir peers.
Along with some awesome "shuffling" they impressed the audiences with
performing first for the evening and set the bar for other school choirs to follow
suit.
Congratulations Corey, Bryce and Hanna for an excellent
performance.
Watch this space as they get set to perform again later in the
semester at the Rockingham Festival!!
A big thank you to Kath Hunter & Sam Taylor (Choir
Coordinators) for all their contributing hard work and
organization.
